Alma McFadyen Newsletter- January

January has been a little more relaxed and quite for our residents as we get over the festive period.
Most of our residents have had some one-to-one time with our Activities Coordinator, Esther and have been to the café and a walk round some of the shops in our local town of Dalbeattie. Most of the residents enjoyed reminiscing as they saw some familiar face and areas of the town.

Barrow Hall Newsletter- January

We started the New Year with a plan for healthy eating and starting our daily walks to the village.
Our Therapy dog, Eddie is making a big difference to our home. Eddie is enjoying lots of love and fuss from both our residents and staff.

Canwick Court Newsletter – January

We have been using the Karaoke machine in which our residents have been enjoying. Singing along to old songs that the residents used to like when they were younger and some of the songs made them reminisce from their younger days. Singing and listening to songs made them talk about all different memories that they had made.

Alma McFadyen House -Newsletter December

Residents at Alma House were kindly invited to Dalbeattie Primary School to watch their Primary ½ School Play. The residents enjoyed there afternoon and were very impressed by the children’s performance.

It is hard to believe we are already in December, the weather has been particularly kind to us so far, still seeing plenty of sunshine and flowers in the gardens. It all seems a little odd but none the less very much appreciated....

Cathedral Newsletter – December

On the 7th December we held an Elf Day at Cathedral which included a cake sale. All staff joined in as well as the residents and families. The cakes didn’t last very long as you can imagine and most were bought and eaten by the staff...

Tunstall Newsletter -October

ZooLab have been visiting various settings for over 20 years.
There is a varied range of Animals, each time they have visited Tunstall Hall the residents have had a new experience, on this visit they bought a Tortoise, a Cheranchula, a Madagascan Millipede, an Albino Corn Snake, two Mice and a large cockroach, all of the animals were adored by the residents, although, some of them were not very keen on the Cheranchula.
