What a fantastic night our ladies in Lincolnshire had last month, at the 2022 Lincolnshire Care Awards.
A number of our amazing staff members in the Lincolnshire areas were nominated by their team leaders last year, for the 2022 Lincolnshire Care Awards, and three of our wonderful employees went one step further, to become finalists!
Chosen because of their enthusiasm, determination and caring attitude, Karen, Jo and Jemma were invited to a fabulous, glitzy awards ceremony at the Double Tree by Hilton Hotel, in Lincoln at the end of March this year.
Karen Aslin, Home Manager at The Grove in Skellingthorpe was a finalist in the ‘Registered Managers’ category, whilst at Roxholm Hall, administrator Jo Garrett was chosen as a finalist in the ‘Behind the Scenes’ category.
Also at Roxholm Hall, Jemma Whiteside was a finalist in the ‘Rising Star’ category after already receiving an award last year for ‘Outstanding Work Placement of the Year’.
The Roxholm Hall finalists were supported by their Deputy Manager Kelly Shaw at the awards, and Karen invited her Deputy Manager at The Grove, Samantha Parkin.
Regional Manager Ann Farrow also attended, to give the ladies her support.
The competition was extremely high, with many care homes in Lincolnshire represented and a number of finalists in each category, and although our ladies didn’t win on this occasion, they should be very proud of being finalists.
The Grove Manager, Karen Aslin said “I was one very proud manager to be nominated for the care awards. The ceremony at the Double Tree Hilton was an amazing night, in my eyes we were all winners by being shortlisted to the finals”.
“Wow, what an amazing night had by all.” Regional Manager Ann Farrow said. “It was an honour to be asked to support our finalists. The competition within the room, who had all achieved the final stages, was astonishing.
We may not have won on the night, although all finalists should be very proud of themselves. It was a stark reminder of our wonderful, dedicated team within St Philips Care, and I am proud to call myself a part of it. The night gave us all the opportunity to mix with colleagues from a range of services throughout Lincolnshire, sing, dance and celebrate the amazing work we all do on a daily basis.”
