We all know that deciding to place a loved one into a care home, can be a challenging and distressing time for a family. This is why we, at St Philips Care, take every step to ensure that we offer a friendly, homely and supportive environment for all of our residents and their families. Whether a loved one requires end-of-life care or an emergency bed, we are always on hand to help.

Carers are often unsung heroes, and we like to take every opportunity to celebrate the incredible work done by our care team. We love receiving feedback from friends and family and wanted to share with you some of the lovely reviews that we have received on www.carehome.co.uk this month.

First up, for the brilliant team at Bowburn in Durham, Pauline, and her team always go the extra mile to sure that each and every resident is happy.

“I am very happy that my son and I chose this care home. The staff are caring and supportive. The home is clean and tidy and my wife is definitely in the right place. Food is good.”

The beautiful Ravendale Hall near to Grimsby is wonderfully managed by Stephanie, and the team were very appreciative of this lovely feedback from a resident.

“I can not express how grateful I am for all the care I have received, how much all the staff have gone above and beyond required. I can not thank you all so much.”

From a resident’s perspective to a grandchild’s view, this one is for the lovely Tunstall Hall just outside Market Drayton, which has self-contained bungalows for those with more independence as well as the main house. Lesley and the team at Tunstall Hall were so touched by this lovely review.

“My nan started her journey at Tunstall Hall Care Centre on 1st December 2023, where she stayed in the bungalow – excellent rooms, equipment, and amenities. Staff always made her feel welcome, offered food/drinks/entertainment. If every buzzer was called, immediate response. Staff would also travel into town to collect medication to ensure Nan was not in pain. Upon moving into the main hall, she required more TLC, more medication. At no point were we asked to leave, we were always updated on the progress and also offered a hot cuppa! 100% recommend and very grateful to all staff in Nan’s final weeks.”

The very welcoming team, and their manager Patricia, at Pavilion in Buxton, were thrilled to read such positive words from a family member.

“The staff are absolutely excellent, caring, kind, and respectful of the dignity of the residents. The management is brilliant at keeping everyone informed and dealing with medical needs as they arise. The residents have regular entertainment sessions, and it is wonderful to see them remembering and becoming animated and engaged. I have been absolutely thrilled with how well my mum has settled in; it really does feel like a family home, and as a visitor, I always feel welcomed as part of the family.”

Canwick Court, one of our lovely homes in Lincolnshire, has an excellent relationship with the local hospital, making it the ideal care home for post-hospital care. Latarnia and her team are always ready to help out with emergency admissions, as shown in this lovely review.

“As an emergency admission after a hospital stay. My family and I are very pleased with all that we have seen and heard. The staff are lovely, very caring and attentive, They are also very welcoming when we visit.”

It means so much to our staff to be recognised for the outstanding work that they do. If you want to leave a review to share your feedback, you can do so here https://www.carehome.co.uk/submitreview
