Roxholm Hall Care Centre in Sleaford is celebrating the success of their latest work placement student, Jemma Whiteside. Jemma is from the “Young Peoples Learning Provision” and is proud to have been awarded “Outstanding Work Experience Placement of the Year”. Roxholm Hall Care Centre, which is part of the family-owned care group St Philips Care, with care homes across the country, including six homes in the Lincoln area, has always encouraged students to develop their careers and provides opportunities for training.

Roxholm Hall is proud to be a placement provider for people studying Health and Social Care. Regional Support Manager, Chris Harpham says,

“We work with local education providers in the Lincolnshire area to enable students to gain hands-on experience in the care industry. This is a vital part of helping to support and train the next generation of carers, and we are delighted to be able to support students with this”.

Jemma has been in placement at Roxholm Hall Care Centre for a year, three days a week, working towards her NVQ 2 Health and Social Care, and was thrilled to have been awarded the “Outstanding Work Experience Placement of the Year”. This work placement has led to Jemma being recruited as a full-time member of staff at Roxholm Hall. Jemma is delighted with the support and opportunities that she has gained through her work placement and says she “loves working at the home”.

Chris Harpham says,

“We are delighted that Jemma has come to join the team at Roxholm Hall, after such a successful work placement.

Roxholm Hall continues to work with students from across Lincolnshire to provide them with the opportunities to further their careers, whilst gaining first-hand experience of just how rewarding working in the care sector can be.
